About the exhibition
Meeting Rapha is a faith-informed exhibition exploring loss, grief, and healing through visual art. The name Rapha comes from a Hebrew word often translated “to heal,” and here healing is understood not as the absence of pain, but as the presence of comfort, meaning, and restoration within it.
The exhibition brings believing artists into Winnipeg's arts landscape with honest, reflective work, inviting visitors to move through the space slowly and share what it stirs in them.
From grief toward light
Grief
A monochromatic photographic series that sits honestly with sorrow, the hollow look, the lifted head, the first glimmer of light returning to the eyes.
Light
Work that follows the struggle toward freedom and restoration, where what held us captive begins, slowly, to lose its grip.
